My love for photography started in 1987 when I received my first 35mm Minolta camera from my sister. She taught me how to use it and off I went. I first started shooting landscapes, then I started to notice all the little things that I was passing by. Flowers, insects, leaves, rocks, mushrooms, textures on trees, wildlife, etc. My passion for photography was short due to the expense of film development.
In 2004 my partner gifted me my first Digital Point and Shoot camera. Off I went again and picked up my passion for this art once again. In 2007 I purchased my first DSLR camera. Macro photography would never be the same again for me. With the right lenses and gear I have been able to capture the beauty of nature to a degree I had only seen in books.
I have had little education in photography. With much reading and experimenting I am ever evolving in this art. I still have much to learn. Most of my photography I do for myself. Art really is in the eye of the beholder.
It gives me a great sense of pride when my pictures give someone else as much pleasure as they do for me.
Thank you for enjoying my photographs.
